春休、私と彼女はVirginiaに行きました。Virginiaはとても楽しくて、暑かったです。Virginiaでローカルなレストランを見つけました。Virginiaのローカルの食べ物はとてもおいしかったです。私はVirginiaに帰りたいですよ。

Blog #10
It’s kind of hard to reflect on the past week. Not because it was particularly difficult or anything, just because nothing fantastically new or difficult happened. Sure, we made a dialogue with our partners and we began working on our essays, but it was nothing particularly difficult. Well, to be honest, coming up with a topic for that essay was difficult since I’m not intimately familiar with Japanese values. I understand what some of them are, I just have a difficult time drawing the bigger picture outside of the examples. All in all, that week felt just like other weeks: variations on a theme.

Blog #9
Alright, so for last week, I can say without a doubt that getting the flu (or whatever it was I had, I couldn't really drive out to see a doctor) is a miserable experience. My nose is still a little stuffed up from and it's been more than a week! Maybe spring allergies are just getting to me early...
Anyways, academic stuff. Nothing particularly new or exciting. The day I was in class was pretty typical. I guess I'm glad that we're getting a bit more speaking practice now. Really, the only things that I can think of with regards to class this past week was: 1) Coming back to a kanji quiz after being sick is a terrible experience and 2) The Maru Maru Mori Mori dance is clearly from a movie and I think it should be viewed in class because now I really want to know what's going on. I also want to know why the dog isn't a Rottweiler. Seriously, go Rottweiler or go home.
If at all possible I'd like to do my paper on Japanese food that doesn't contain fish products. I have food allergies when it comes to fish, and anytime anyone talks about Japanese food, it's always fish. But I know there has to be some dishes that use other meats and I would like to research and write about them. I think it'd be enjoyable to talk about and for once, I wouldn't get slightly queasy when someone starts talking about Japanese food.

Blog Entry 8
Well, there were mainly two things that happened in this past week: learning all about the maru maru mori mori, and going through all the gramar points. To me, it's a step in the right direction. It just needs to expand a little more. Learning the song was actually a little fun, as opposed to the droll boredom of working on grammar worksheets. Now, if there was a way to combine both the grammar and the fun, that'd be awesome and would probably make class more enjoyable, at least for me. I bet there'd be opposition to that statement. On that note, I learned that my fear of children is definitely not limited to just American children. It definitely doesn't have boundaries.

Seventh Blog
Alright, time to do some reflecting on the past week! Well, to be honest I don't remember much besides reading things. Sure there were the skits, but the first half was read, read, read and the second half of the week was grammar, grammar, grammar. I know that's how it works, but it doesn't change the fact that I found it boring and that boredom led to stress since I was trying to complete the packet while everybody was making sentences. I loathe boredom. However, it was nice to see the breaks make a return. I know I personally need to stretch my legs and get some water during that time frame. I probably could just get up and leave real quick, but I feel like that would be considered rude.
Grammar! Wa-pow!
～に違いない is the grammar that indicates you are certain of a fact, as opposed to （ような）気がする, where some doubt is present. To create this grammar point, you tack on ～に違いない to the short, present form of a verb. For example: 読むに違いに. So, as I said, this grammar point shows that you are certain of a fact. A full sentence example would be:
I'm certain that I met a bear.
私は熊に会うに違いない。やったー！
And there you have it, kids.

THE SIXTH BLOG
This week...this week...well, I guess it's technically last week as of this writing. I don't really remember much of last week. Nothing was too difficult in the grammar section, the kanji quiz annoyed me like usual, and I remember missing breaks because I was a bit hungry during class. However, the dialogue was a useful learning tool as it normally is. Not the reading of the book dialogue, mind you, but the creation of one. Being able to collectively call all the stuff I know in one place is extremely helpful in reinforcing material. However, I'm having a bit of a problem with all of the new creative exercises: I just seem to have completely run out of creativity for creating situations. It's kind of annoying when I can't think of a sentence to use new grammar in.
As for the presentations, my memory is a little blurry since I haven't slept much, but I vaguely remember Carissa's group. There are two girls in the scene, talking about about a hot spring. Well, not so much talking about it as one of the girls uses a little small talk and then BAM! hot spring question time. That's not the point though. She's curious about the best hot spring, to which her friend tells her of the one in Kyushu. So there's that. The questioner says thanks and heads about her merry way.
And for some reason the videos on the blog aren't working for me. I'll have to fiddle around with some settings in the morning or something.

Glogster Blog
はい、優先席は大切と思います。アメリカ人はとても太っています。それから、彼らは座れてはいけない。たぶん、元気になります。優先席はとてもいいです。将来のお母さんは病気になったら、早く病院に行きます。ある日、人々は優先席をわかります。
So, yeah. I liked this week. I was able to actually remain on top of my game and I think I actually managed to pull off a decent grade on a kanji quiz since I changed my study methods up. However, I do have to bring attention to the glogster project. I really liked doing it. whenever something creative is involved, I love it and try to go for having as much fun as possible. And I really did have a lot of fun writing for the project. However, glogster is a little flawed in its execution. I like the theory, but their artistic options were very limiting in what I had in mind for my advertisement. In retrospect, I probably should have figured out how photoshop works and just done my project with that. Overall though, it gave me a chance to apply my skillset outside of packets and book questions. Truth be told, that reinforces what I've learned so much more and it makes everything make a hell of a lot more sense.
