Blog 8/30 #1

私はルペです。今、二十歳です。十一月六日で私は二十一歳になります。やった！でも、この日、私はたぶんお酒を飲みません。十一月七日、試験があると思いますから。専門は会計学です。とても難しいと思います。でも、大好きです。趣味がありません。私はいつも忙しいです。毎日、私は授業に行くかアルバイトをします。土曜日は私の休み。土曜日で十二時間ぐらい寝ます。八月間ぐらい彼女と付き合います。私の日々は難しいと思います。好きです。

まず、私はKappa Sigma Epsilon Rho chapterの会計です。これは難しい趣味です。Kappa　Sigmaの小切手帳をなくしたり、私たちは破産になります。また、Kappa Sigmaはとても楽しい。私の兄弟は私の親友です。

 私はつまらない人です。毎日、私は勉強ばかりしています。 でも、会計の勉強はなかなか楽しいと思います。変ね？

 夏休で本を読みます始めました。教科書かファンタジーな本を読むのがすきですよ。時々、新しい本を買ったら、寝ない。



 I don’t really know what I’m supposed to reflect on for just the first day. I suppose I could do personal reflection. And I really need to reflect on how I plan to improve my Japanese comprehension. I’ve applied myself in my Corporate Accounting class and found all the material to be really easy because I read the chapter beforehand and outlined it. I don’t really know if outlining is the way to go with the Japanese textbook, but the reading will definitely be a great help. Hopefully by doing that I won’t be stumbling during the readings. Furthermore, I’ve read an interview with a polyglot and they pointed out some really good ways to help with language acquisition. I know one of the big things was immersion. I’ll have to get creative with that, but I’m confident that this book translation project will definitely help with that.




 まず、手塚治治虫はかっこういい人と思います。彼のアニメはとても楽しいです。手塚治氏を考えるのが好きです。でも、このビデオはよくない。女の人を聞かない。また、読むのは簡単です。 として、グッズキャリクターはなんですか。

Blog 14

一番、私は夏休が嫌いですよ。どうして？ぜんぜんしないので！毎週、私は三十五時にアルバイトをする。ところが、アルバイトが結果だいぢ嫌い。私は課長たちは「ルペ！みんなさんがワークトをしない！一人でこのワークをしなくちゃいけない！」と言うと思います。ある日、新しいアルバイトをしたい。また、授業二つ個を受ける。もっと授業がほしい。最終、彼女はCantonに帰ります。私は貧乏な大学生ので、あまりCantonに行きません。夏にガソリンは高くなります。

でも、全部が悪くない。夏休に私は大好きなテレビゲームをできたり、映画を見たり、自転車に乗ったりします。たぶん友達とVans Warped Tourに行ける。切符はちょっと高いですが、Warped Tourはとても楽しい。

私の夏休はいつもつまらない。今年の夏はたぶん違いない。

プロジェクトで何をするが知らない。えっと。。。プロジェクトのトピックが知りますでも、つまらないプロジェクトをしたくない。今、プロジェクトはアメリカと日本の太っている人の違うについて。ところが、世界のみんなはこの違うのが知ります。そして、私は新しくて、楽しいことを考えなくちゃいきません。

春休

春休、私と彼女はVirginiaに行きました。Virginiaはとても楽しくて、暑かったです。Virginiaでローカルなレストランを見つけました。Virginiaのローカルの食べ物はとてもおいしかったです。私はVirginiaに帰りたいですよ。

Blog #10

It’s kind of hard to reflect on the past week. Not because it was particularly difficult or anything, just because nothing fantastically new or difficult happened. Sure, we made a dialogue with our partners and we began working on our essays, but it was nothing particularly difficult. Well, to be honest, coming up with a topic for that essay was difficult since I’m not intimately familiar with Japanese values. I understand what some of them are, I just have a difficult time drawing the bigger picture outside of the examples. All in all, that week felt just like other weeks: variations on a theme.

Blog #9

Alright, so for last week, I can say without a doubt that getting the flu (or whatever it was I had, I couldn't really drive out to see a doctor) is a miserable experience. My nose is still a little stuffed up from and it's been more than a week! Maybe spring allergies are just getting to me early...

Anyways, academic stuff. Nothing particularly new or exciting. The day I was in class was pretty typical. I guess I'm glad that we're getting a bit more speaking practice now. Really, the only things that I can think of with regards to class this past week was: 1) Coming back to a kanji quiz after being sick is a terrible experience and 2) The Maru Maru Mori Mori dance is clearly from a movie and I think it should be viewed in class because now I really want to know what's going on. I also want to know why the dog isn't a Rottweiler. Seriously, go Rottweiler or go home.

If at all possible I'd like to do my paper on Japanese food that doesn't contain fish products. I have food allergies when it comes to fish, and anytime anyone talks about Japanese food, it's always fish. But I know there has to be some dishes that use other meats and I would like to research and write about them. I think it'd be enjoyable to talk about and for once, I wouldn't get slightly queasy when someone starts talking about Japanese food.

Blog Entry 8

Well, there were mainly two things that happened in this past week: learning all about the maru maru mori mori, and going through all the gramar points. To me, it's a step in the right direction. It just needs to expand a little more. Learning the song was actually a little fun, as opposed to the droll boredom of working on grammar worksheets. Now, if there was a way to combine both the grammar and the fun, that'd be awesome and would probably make class more enjoyable, at least for me. I bet there'd be opposition to that statement. On that note, I learned that my fear of children is definitely not limited to just American children. It definitely doesn't have boundaries.
